Organize the chaos

Throwing can feel chaotic. Some weeks your arm feels great and some weeks it doesn't, and it's hard to say why. Being able to track your workload helps the weeks not feel so random, and gives you something steadier to build on.

TOGS organizes the chaos. You log your throws, and it shows you how that day stacks up to others you've done. After a week or two of logging, you can see your workload, you can see which days have room to push and which days you might hold back. Track how many throws you make in a week, or month, and how many at what intensity. All data to help you better dial in your throwing for what you're actually doing.

What you see

Your week next to your month

Your last 7 days of workload beside your last 28, and the ratio between them. It's the acute:chronic ratio. TOGS uses the data we have to best estimate what your A:C ratio is.

Effort counts

A throw at 70% and a throw at max aren't the same throw. TOGS weighs each one against your own max.

Type in your radar reading, or log how it felt

Any working radar gun will do. TOGS is most accurate with readings, and it still gives you a useful picture without one.

One place for all of it

Bullpens, long toss, catch, practice. If you log it, it counts. Included is a journal feature where you can track your notes for each day and then search them by keyword later.

What TOGS isn't

TOGS isn't a sensor. It works from what you log, so the numbers are estimates. I'd rather tell you that up front.

Other products measure more precisely, and for some people that's the right choice. I built TOGS to be easy to use and low in price, so more throwers can see their workload at all.

It doesn't write your program or tell you what to do. It shows you the picture. You and your coach decide.

Who it's for

Pitchers

If you throw a lot, or you're building back up, TOGS gives you a record of what you've done and where this week sits against the last month. It's useful at any level.

College staffs

Over winter break, your pitchers are spread across the country. TOGS gives you one view of the whole roster's workload, and each athlete logs on his own phone.

Other coaches and organizers

Facilities, travel teams, showcases, any group. Your athlete may also throw with another team, and neither side sees the total. If they log it all, you can see the combined workload and decide how much more there's room for.

One view of your whole team's workload

If you run a staff, a facility, a travel team or a showcase, your question is different: how much throwing can this athlete take on across everything he's doing? Each athlete logs on his own phone. You get one coach login and one view of the team, including the 7-vs-28-day picture for each arm.

I set it up with you. You decide the plan. TOGS shows you what's happening.

Up to 10 arms
$150 a month
Up to 20 arms
$250 a month

You pick the months. December and January, a fall semester, a single month. Your membership runs for just the months you need, and you're billed for those months only. December and January, for example, is $300 for 10 arms or $500 for 20.

Larger than 20? Tell me your roster size and we'll work it out.

The athlete joins your team and logs their own throwing, including what they throw with other teams. Each athlete keeps their own personal ledger of throws, and you see the combined picture.

Why I built it

I built TOGS for myself. When I was coming back up to full intensity in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, I used it to manage my own on-ramp and stay in the workload range I was aiming for. It did what I needed, and I still log in it.

I'm putting it in front of other pitchers because I think it's beneficial. If it isn't useful to you, cancel.
